Craft Craziness and Randomness

I'm taking a chance starting this blog post at the tail end of my children's nap time but here goes nothin. 

Last week was filled with projects. Not sure what came over me. I got home from visiting my parents and just wanted to MAKE things!!! So I got after it!! From wool and fleece diaper covers...

to circle skirts...

to headbands....

to chalkboard paint...

to zippered pillow covers....

to knocking off 6 inches from our pub height table...ok...I had some help with that. Actually, Jason did most of it. Thanks Hubby!!

 Not to mention a few good steals from Salvation Army. I guess they aren't steals if you are buying them from Salvation Army but humor me...

And a few snapshots of those mundane but memorable moments of a mother with small children...

More than Sparrows

My grandmother, known to us as Mamaw, has always loved birds. I don't think a birthday went by where she didn't receive a bird house, or a bird book, or binoculars to look at the birds, or a bird puzzle, or a bird clock that chirps, or a bird feeder...you get the picture. She loves birds. Mamaw also has cancer. She's been fighting cancer for several years now. Mamaw also has Jesus and will have Him for eternity. Jesus has been her treasure for as long as I can remember. My mom sent me a picture a few weeks back that took my breath away. It's a cumulation of God expressing His love to my Mamaw in bringing something she loves close enough to gaze upon without binoculars. Our God is good. And He is good to us.

"Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?"

Snapshots and Thoughts

Here's to a place to post snapshots from my day and thoughts that pass through my mind and heart. Some days I am overwhelmed with thankfulness for all the little things like train tracks and cheerios. Other days I hardly notice them. But most of the time I have my phone out and am trying to capture a picture of something precious going on in my house with my two little ones. Which happens to be almost all the time...

I could probably post a million pictures right now but I won't overwhelm you. Not yet anyway...
